Another Quilt Market Begins!

The office is quiet today as several of our Marcus-ites are traveling to Houston for Fall Quilt Market 2014! Looking forward to their pictures!

Quilt Market is now in its 35th year (and Quilt Festival, the show for consumers, marks 40 years in 2014!)  Marcus has been attending since 1987, when we debuted with Judie Rothermel’s first collection of Aunt Grace 1930’s repros.  Here’s a peek at the Judie Rothermel collections we’ll be showing this weekend… AUNT GRACE SIMPLER SAMPLER and JUDIE’S ALBUM QUILT.  Check out the details of these gorgeous BOM programs.  No wonder she’s still the leader in 1930’s reproductions and historic fabric prints for quilters!

  1. I love Marcus Brothers quality goods and Judie Rothermel’s Civil War reproductions. Once I was shopping at Keepsake Quilting’s retail store with a dear friend who had just flown in from Utah. She knew that she had picked out more fabric than she could possibly stuff into her luggage to get it home. She needed to pare down her purchases. I suggested that she try closing her eyes and just feeling the difference between the Marcus Brothers goods and that of a competitor, Benartex. She was amazed! The Marcus Brothers fabrics won, hands down, and flew home with her. Thank you for producing fabrics that are made to last for heirloom quilts!

  2. Oh my goodness….They are both just beautiful!!!! Decisions….decisions coming my way. I just love Judie Rothermel!!
