  1. I am a Red White and Blue fabricolic Just finished a queen size quilt from the American Valor Fabric Collection. This quilt was donated to an American Legion Auxiliary group to be auction to raise money for our veterans. Now I am working on a Quilt of Valor quilt for my son to be give in November of this year. These quilt was pieced and quilted by me.. I also long arm quilter for the Quilt of Valor foundation as my contribution to our veterans.

  6. I just made a quilt for testing a pattern for a web site and I am making a couple of blocks of the month quilts. One of them is Pam Budda’s “A Pararie Gathering”. I love that quilt.

  20. I just finished a tote bag for using on my commute and have another cut out ready to sew. After that, I will be working on a lap quilt for my mother in law.

  21. I have plans to refinish my bathroom vanity and am finishing up a mystery quilt from my local quilt shop.

  22. I just finished a CW scrappy triangles quilt so now to finish an appliqued star on my 3rd. tiny tumbler flag, then finish a red, white & blue star mediallon quilt. Those beautiful plaids would be perfect for another patriotic quilt. Thank you for a great giveaway!

  23. I will be enjoying the celebration of America’s birthday attending Carnival on St. John USVI. I will also be working on a new quilt by Paula Barnes since I always take my sewing machine with me to the islands. Happy 4th Y’all.

  24. Hi! I am working on an old patriotic quilt project from Minnick And Simpson. It has their eagle patriotic banner at the top, and stars in rows below. Very Patriotic look to it!

  26. I’m working on getting my sewing space set up after a move to a new house in a new state!

  27. A busy summer for me for sure! Moving into a new sewing room is daunting, trying to get everything organized in a new way and then remember where I have put it all when I need it! Summer projects include finishing the hand quilting on my youngest grandson’s quilt, putting together a lap/couch quilt for my daughter-in-law for her BD in August and making scooter skirts for my granddaughter from a vintage ’60’s pattern.

  30. It’s the time of year to set aside my personal projects and dig into donations for a local women’s shelter. Working on my first quilt now-strip piecing. Always a time for reflection-grateful for my happy life, sorrow for those women whose only hope at happiness is escape. We quilters are always there to provide warmth and love.

  31. I have always wanted to make a miniature quilt of Storm at Sea, and that is what I am sewing now. It will be 24 inches square when finished with the biggest block 2 inches. It is very small, and I won’t do another one again!!!

  36. This summer ( and the past spring and winter!) finds me busy, busy working on a Double Wedding Ring quilt for my daughter’s 25th Anniversary. She so wanted one when she was married but personal circumstances didn’t allow me the time to make it for them. Newly retired, I decided that I just might be able to do it for next spring. And surprisingly, it is in shades of red, blue and cream!!!! About 3/4 done – I think I will make it! Love your blog – except – it makes me plan 4 or 5 quilts ahead!

  39. I’m picking up 2 quilts from the quilter today, so binding will be on my agenda. This weekend is sewing, next weekend starts a 2 week vacay with my 14 yo granddaughter! Looking forward to fun times!

  40. I am working on a star quilt using Civil War fat quarters. It will be a gift for my mother-in-law who loves all things “primitive”. It will look great on her sofa in her home. They have retired to the lake and have all the family antiques there. Including the tall boy bookcase from my husband’s 3rd great grandmother and the corner cabinet made by my husband’s 2nd great grandfather. I can’t wait to see how the quilt compliments the room.

  41. I didn’t realize Marcus had a blog – very pleased to hear that as I’m a huge Paula Barnes fan. I’m working on a Cheri Payne quilt – Folk Art Gathering (which has a lot of Paula’s fabric in it, I’m sure) and a bunch on mini quilts that are in various stages. I’m also working on the Farm Girl QAL – pulling from my stash for that. Thank you for the opportunity to win this sweet bundle of flannels!

  42. I am working on a quilt kit I got at a benefit for cancer garage sale. It is of large pumpkins and leaves and all the fabrics and pattern were together. Love it and am so glad it is getting made. would love to add the patriotic fat quarters to my stash.

  43. This fabric is too cute. I can see it as little pants for my soon to be born nephew. Running around driving my sister crazy in some plaid shorts! Too cute.
