  1. My sewing plans for September are to organize my sewing room and finish a couple of projects by the end of the month for several birthdays coming up

  2. I am currently working on 4 doggie crate quilts, which we donate to Paws on Parole in Gainesville, FL. The dogs are shelter dogs that get a second chance at life through this program. They get the crate quilts when they go into the program, and then take them to their new forever homes. This way they have something that belongs to them in their new surroundings. Also, I am working on 3 grandchildren’s quilts, one quilt for a neighbor who is ill, and a flannel quilt using Marcus Primo Flannels, which we will be listing in our Etsy shop. A portion of our Etsy sales goes to the cost of making the doggie crate quilts. This will be our second flannel quilt using Primo flannels. Love, love, love Primo flannels!

  3. I am planning on making presents for my granddaughter, who is turning 3 in two months!

  4. I plan on making a simple, cozy quilt from my late husband’s cotton shirts. Finally picked a pattern with appliqued hearts.❤❤❤

  5. My plans in September are to attend 2 quilt camps and work on projects for our quilt show in November. I love Marcus Fabrics.

  6. I plan to finish two sets of Christmas wall hangings (before Christmas) and then work on a king sized flannel quilt for my bed. Thanks!

  7. I LOVE National Sewing Month!! I plan on doing a lot of quilting. I have two quilts to finish for my guild’s annual quilt show next month……four charity quilts to finish……and a couple of quilts to finish for X-mas gifts. If I can squeeze in a UFO or two that would be wonderful.

  8. I am finishing a quilt for my son-in-law, helping a friend cut out a quilt for her sister, and attending my Modern guild retreat!
    And I’m working on 100 blocks/100 days…..

  9. My plans for September are to keep sewing on 2 quilts I have started as BOM projects and to start a hand appliqué quilt class at the end of the month!

  10. I will be working on a quilt that I love using reproduction civil war era fabrics. I have I have completed 13 blocks and have a few more to go. I need to look for a border fabric and I will be looking at Marcus fabrics because I love the feel of them.

  11. I already subscribe to your blog by email and love it! I read every post top to bottom! In September I will be finishing 2 projects already started. One only needs binding. Then I have a Christmas quilt whose fabric is staring at me and I would love to win those flannels for a lovely fall quilt I’m planning. I am looking forward to the weather cooling off a bit here in NC. Cooler always feels more quilty!

  12. This is always a great month for finding wonderful ideas. I am going to be ambitious. I have laid out a Twisted Windmill pattern. I am just waiting on the fabric. In the meantime I am finishing some art quilts for my walls and my Red and White Vortex quilt.

  13. I signed up for the Project Linus mystery quilt that begins next week. I’m hoping to keep up with the weekly clues plus finish up a few other small projects.

  14. I have a very unusual t-shirt quilt in progress as a Christmas present for my daughter–I am hoping to make some serious progress on it this month as I have a few other things I would like to sew for Christmas!

  15. I’m going to continue finishing projects that have been languishing for a while! I started last month, completed 4, and have quite a few more to go.

  16. I’m planning on making a couple of Halloween wall hangings, a Halloween quilt, a flannel quilt for myself and some pj bottoms. Already finished some pillowcases for hospital kids today.

  17. Lots of UFOs to work on, but hope to keep up with 2 sew-alongs that are starting in September! Been a busy summer and haven’t done much quilting….looking forward to cooler, fall temps and some quilting!

  18. Hurrah for National Quilting Month! I am hoping I can get back to quilting. Taking care of a husband with a broken leg takes all the time away. I’m hoping to get some English Paper Piecing started to take with me while we finish up rehab and surgery. I am trying to finish a red/green quilt for a daughter, am doing two BOM and one BOQ. All started BTL (before the leg).

  19. I plan to get started on another baby quilt for my daughter’s first baby, due at Christmas time. Also finish the first quilt I made for this little one. Then work on my BOMs, quiltalong, and several other quilts that have been in the works for months!

  20. I just started a mystery quilt and have the cutting instructions and the first blocks to make by the end of September. That is what I plan on working on in September! Oh, and I have a table runner started for a friend, so I need to get it done first!

I get the emails from your blog already!

  21. I will be working on a blue and white batik quilt and a tag blanket for my niece’s first baby.

  22. I am working on a scrappy quilt all summer and hand quilting a Christmas quilt I want done for this holiday season.

  23. I am making a Quilt & various baby things, for a nephew due in November… Plus working on a few Christmas things as well. My September sewing plans are definitely keeping me busy! lol Thank you for chance to win your give-a-way too! 🙂 Happy Sewing Month!!

  24. I am taking mental health days to stay home and sew! Working n a couple Christmas gifts and lots of ‘secret’ projects!

  25. I have one quilt that I am quilting on my home machine and another that needs borders.

  26. Yeah, for National Sewing Month! Now I have an official excuse to spend more time sewing and will explain that to my husband! This month I plan on finishing a quilt I’m making for my daughter. It’s a CrossCut modern quilt. The top and back are finished, so the fun part lies ahead with quilting and binding!

  27. AH September ! I intend to prep a lot of handwork including a new star pattern I really like. I have a small basket quilt (pieced ) that I need to finish as well. If I get both of these accomplished I will be very happy!

  28. Our guild is getting ready to start our annual UFO Projects Contest this month. We select 5 UFO’s and then the administrator selects a number between 1 and 5 and that is the project we have two months to complete. I’m making sure I have all the materials necessary to complete each project, ensuring the process goes smoothly.

  29. I am working on several UFOs. Hope to have something completed by the end of the month. I’m attending the Madison expo next week –hopefully I will only purchase needful things. 🙂

  30. I sew every day. Either handwork or machine. Sometimes for as little as 15 minutes but I need it for my “piece” of mind. I have a madaliion quilt in process and a basket wall hanging to finish up. Thanks for a chance at the great bundle. I truly would love to add it to my other fabrics.

  31. I am hoping to turn some of my scraps into a quilt or at the very least a couple of table runners.

  32. It’s been a busy summer; have completed (or getting close to completed) several quilt tops. Now that the cooler weather is on it;s way, it will be time to begin my hand quilting on those tops. Will also be working on new lined drapes for the living room and a sweet 4yr old granddaughter is waiting for her Grammie to finish up her new jumpers. Going to be a busy fall season!

  33. My sewing plans for September include completing a “blue” quilt for my mother-in-law’s 90th birthday. I also am working on 3 quilts for baby girls yet to be born as well as sneaking minutes on some almost finished projects and binding some already finished quilts.

  34. Lots of sewing and embroidery – the rest of the year I only finishing things up – no new starts (fingers crossed behind back)

  35. My plans are to finish quilting my daughter’s quilt and hopefully one more that has been waiting for quite a while.

  36. Can’t wait for September to begin. I have two sewing weekends planned this month to finish up some of those pesky UFO’s I’ve been putting off. Then I can concentrate on my holiday sewing projects. Yeah!…………cool weather, friends and sewing time. What could be better?

  37. My plans for September definitely include sewing. I’m starting and hope to finish a t shirt quilt for a friend’s son and also to make a small wool wall hanging.

  38. Oh, I love to sew! Quilting has given me such respite and creative outlet as I am a caregiver. I have several quilts to finish…top on my list is an family quilt for my husband’s favorite cousin…I put a picture of the 5 sisters in the middle, and family members signed it at a reunion 2 years ago. I’m determined to back and quilt it and give it to her! Thanks so much for the chance to win!!

  39. My plans for the month are a fun mix: get serious about Christmas sewing, finish up some charity sewing (blocks for Houston, a quilt for Orlando), and work on some projects that have simply struck my fancy while I’ve been thinking about all of these other things–I don’t want those ideas to slip away. Hooray for National Sewing Month!

  40. I’m am going to be working on 2 quilts that required some hand blanket stitching and the goal is for both to be enter in our county fair for 2017.
