“..the best organized and detailed quilting pattern…”

Sarah Maxwell

We’re so proud of the many talents of our designer community, and sometimes, when we get fan mail like this, we just have to share it!  Kudos to Sarah Maxwell of Designs by Sarah J for the many compliments on her Primo Batik BOM quilts, RADIANT REFLECTIONS and RIVER ROCK.  Shop owners and quilters alike love her innovative use of 10-1/2″ square pre-cut packs to create the quilts, as well as the instructions. Most comments echo the words of Barbara, a NC-based shop owner:

“I recently purchased your new Radiant Reflections pattern.  It is without a doubt the best organized and detailed quilting pattern I have ever seen!  As a former teacher as well as  quilt store owner, I’ve worked with many other programs, and have sometimes been very disappointed to see a dramatic quilt pictured, yet the inside information is so poorly presented that no one will ever be able to make it. I appreciate your work.”

Thank you, Barbara  ; )  As always we appreciate our customers’ comments and input!  Happy stitching to all!

In the same issue, Sarah uses her COZIES FLANNEL collection to create a “double-quilt” design called “On the Rails” – you’ll love her clever use of a neutral base quilt, sparked by a colorful seasonal topper.

Choose Your Favorite Primo Batiks BOM for 2016!

BatikBOM-SueLoring

Whichever one you choose, you will LOVE the fact that these BOM programs are created with 36 different 10″ x 10″ PRE-CUTS!  And Sarah Maxwell’s detailed design is equally dramatic in neutral tones (RIVER ROCK batiks) or bold brights (RADIANT REFLECTIONS batiks). We thought that this particular photo by Sue Loring of The Quilted Crow in Bolton, MA was particularly striking – thanks, Sue!  These were recently featured at the shop for the grand opening of its new location.

Look for these block-of-the-month programs at your local quilt shops beginning January, and you can have your own completed masterpeice in just 9 months!
