Trendy Grey & Yellow for Spring/Summer

MQQcoverThe new June/July 2015 issue of McCall’s Quick Quilts includes this quilt project from Homestead Hearth, in trendy grey and yellow coordinates from Faye Burgos’ GREY SKIES collection.  We like the mix of a contemporary palette, the paisley, floral and texture motifs, and classic block styling.

Subscription issues began shipping April 21, 2015. By May 5, 2015, the issue will be available on newsstands, as well as in print or digital download format at QuiltandSewShop.com. Homestead Hearth also offers a kit for the project.

Think Spring with McCall’s Quick Quilts

McQkQuiltsCOVERApr15

…You’ll find the perfect post-winter inspiration in the form of a quilt project by Sarah Maxwell and Dolores Smith, mixing prints from  VICTORIA PARK (by Karen Styles) and SOFTLY SPOKEN (by Harriet Hargrave).  Its easy nine-patch construction and light color palette make it the perfect first project for spring.

Look for the April/May issue  on newsstands beginning March 3, 2015.  Instructions are included in the issue, and a fabric kit is available.

Victoria’s Violets Featured in McCall’s Quilting

McCallsMar15COVERHave you seen the McCall’s Quilting Mar/April 2015 issue yet? Look for the VICTORIA’S VIOLETS collection by Molly B’s Studio, featured in a quilt by Sarah Maxwell and Dolores Smith.  It’s featured on the cover.  The design makes great use of the distinctive stripe, the quilt’s focal point – see how nicely it shows up even when folded, on the cover of the issue!  Complete instructions are included in the issue, and a kit is offered through the magazine as well.
