Have you seen the latest edition of McCall’s Quilting magazine (Jan/Feb 2014)? Among its beautiful featured quilts is this design by Homestead Hearth. They’ve transformed our Molly B’s Harvest Palette and Primo Batiks collections into a richly colored quilt inspired by Italian mosaic tilework. A kit is available.
Already we’ve been told by more than one shop owner that they can’t possibly decide between the two gorgeous colorways created by Faye Burgos for her M FOR MYSTERY collection! We really didn’t mean to make it such a difficult decision for you…but if it helps, you could always offer BOTH the blue/rust, AND the black/pink combos! Either way, you can’t lose with these lush floral lead patterns and their companion prints when creating our new Mystery Quilt BOM, designed by Homestead Hearth! When you start with fabrics this beautiful, you can’t help but make a great quilt! The program begins in January, so maybe you’d better begin the color decision-making process now ; ) Quilting friends, what do you think??
Schoolhouse is a Quilt Market highlight! We enlisted the help of Sarah Maxwell (shown) and Dolores Smith of Homestead Hearth, to share their experience with BOMs, or Block of the Month programs – from how to evaluate a program to pricing, shipping and more! If you’re a show owner and you missed the session, download the handout online beginning June 1. Meanwhile, while in Portland, be sure to stop by BOOTH 2203!
