She says, “For MEADOW STORM, I included my typical mix of interesting modern and eclectic prints…fabrics that can do some of the work for you. I love the large stripes that can be fussy cut for dramatic modern looks. Sun Shower polka dots in four colors, because I can’t make a quilt without a dot! I added in the bold black and white Manor Stripe, after many requests from my last line, MOSTLY MANOR. I look forward to using it with the more saturated color prints, like Misty and the main floral, Perennial, to add instant movement to even simple blocks.” — Victoria

We’re so proud of the many talents of our designer community, and sometimes, when we get fan mail like this, we just have to share it! Kudos to Sarah Maxwell of Designs by Sarah J for the many compliments on her Primo Batik BOM quilts, RADIANT REFLECTIONS and RIVER ROCK. Shop owners and quilters alike love her innovative use of 10-1/2″ square pre-cut packs to create the quilts, as well as the instructions. My weekend vacation to Tampa began with a stop at Florida Quilting Center, a must-see recommended by my local quilting friend, Ann. The shop was big and gorgeous, and Karen and Jim and the staff were warm and welcoming, and the longarm studio was impressive.
..then there was the Mostly Manor display ; ). We might need to stop again on the return trip to the airport…
