You’ll love this pretty wall hanging by our second MWM designer, Deirdre Bond-Abel! Entitled “Betty’s Blooms”, the look is shown here in 1930s prints, yet would translate equally well in your favorite Marcus collections, including prints and basic texture lines for a more contemporary look! It’s a fun mix of piecing and applique that will add charm to any room setting.
Well, we’re just a bit behind on this week’s challenge announcement, thanks to our late-winter blizzard closing on Tuesday, but we’re back, and thrilled to reveal that Diane Sala is our latest winner in the Marcus #mugrugchallenge! Even those “I’m-not-a-morning-person” persons will love waking up to these bright, cheerful dots with their first infusion of coffee! Diane selected a group of 4″ x 5″ squares of GO-GO! DINO! prints at our QuiltCon booth, and we love her arrangement of HSTs (half-square triangles).
She then submitted her photo via email, and you can too, in addition to entering via Instagram post using #MarcusMugshot. We’re about halfway thru the Challenge, so while there’s still time to enter (as often as you like) now through April 30, we can’t wait to see what you come up with! Remember, just be sure to include at least one Marcus or Studio 37 fabric and create any shape, sized up to a max of 9″ x 9″. Good Luck, everyone!
If you’re planning to attend Quilt Week in Paducah (April 19-23, 2016), register now for one (or both!) of Karen’s events, sponsored by our friends at Paper Pieces, the experts in English paper piecing! Choose from her Robin’s Nest workshop on Wednesday, April 20…
Learn the great techniques Karen uses in her designs for Somerset Patchwork and more! Interested? Call 1-800-337-1537 or stop by the Hexie House for more information on these workshop/lectures. Have fun!
Booth setup is moving along well…catch this sneak peek of current collections, made up in gorgeous children’s dresses. These include #LRRH, Precious Beginnings and American Bouquet among others. Behind them are previews of our new The Seasons on Pomegranate Lane BOM, a mix of prints and felted woven wools by The Quilted Crow Girls (photo 1, left), and Sidewalk Cafe (photo 1, right and last photo). Photo 2 finds Indra, our Customer Service Manager, peeking out from behind a shipping crate, and photo 3 shows off a quilts featuring Molly B’s Basics. You’ll find them all in our Fabric Gallery.
