Did You See Victoria in Warwick, NY?

If you attended the Warwick Valley Quilt Guild’s show this past weekend, hopefully, you caught Victoria’s presentation, along with some Retail Therapy from Victoria (and lots of other great vendors!)  The bi-annual guild show takes place in Warwick, NY.  Pati (shown in the right side photo with Victoria’s assistants, Laurie and Kim) was also in attendance, and she sent along a few pix of the exciting event.  Goodies at Victoria’s booth included MEADOW STORM and MOSTLY MANOR bundles and of course, inspiring quilts…

MostlyManor5x5s

Thanks to all who commented on last week’s post  — some of you really have it bad! Apparently this fever isn’t about to break any time soon, and that’s a good thing.  As promised, we’ve chosen the three lucky winners of our randon drawing, namely:

  • Lori Norton of Mansfield, OH

We hope you’ll all enjoy these 5×5″ mini packs of MOSTLY MANOR by Victoria Findlay Wolfe

Hexie Fever is Spreading…

PVlucyhexie2PVlucyhexie1

I’ve been seeing hexagons absolutely Everywhere, in every size and fabric type imaginable. Modern hexies, traditional hexies. Grandmother’s Flower Garden hexies. Huge hexies, tiny hexies. Hexie jewelry…placemats…totebags — it goes on! Have you caught Hexie Fever, too?

PBKeyringHexiePati shared some of hers above, cut from black and cream  VINTAGE ONYX Strip-It fabric for easy two-toned hexies.  She loves Paper Pieces for her English paper piecing projects. At right, an adorable (but slightly insane) micro-hexie key ring Vicki Bellino of Bloom Creek whipped up for Pati at Quilt Market.

SewingCaddyCherylHoistJun16Then I spotted this sewing case by my quilter friend Cheryl Hoist, at a local event I attended over the weekend — African batik & Aboriginal print hexies!

PamBuda2016Pam Buda chimes in with hexies by the bowlful…

and Victoria Findlay Wolfe goes overboard…; )

VFWHexiesDo you have Hexie Fever, too? Subscribe to our blog, then coment below about what you’re making with hexies (and your favorite sizes!) for the chance to win one of TWO Hexie-Friendly charm mini-packs of Victoria’s MOSTLY MANOR!  Comments received by Tuesday, June 21 are eligible for the drawing – good luck!

More Mostly Manor, On Land and In Flight

SarahBondMostlymanorQThanks to our quilting friend (and award-winning fiber artist) Sarah Bond for submitting this pic of her stunning MOSTLY MANOR design. This is easily my personal favorite interpretation of Victoria’s debut collection for Studio 37 Fabrics

She explains, “It’s a class I’ve been teaching for quite a while. The pattern is mine, though of course it’s New York Beauty, so the inspiration is traditional.”

For class or pattern info, contact Sarah via Instagram @slbphilly.

Meanwhile, several thousand miles above, our own Pati Violick shows off her Lucy Boston-inspired paper piecing, during her flight to Salt Lake City for Quilt Market, in a project she calls “Lucy in the Sky” …get it??  So portable – just pack your fabric, thread, air-friendly snips and templates from Paper Pieces and you’re set!
